Comic heroes movies should have more actions!

Just watched Green Lantern movie today. It was another super hero movie, except that this one is one that I like most. It is my favorite comic character. The usual movie nonsense will be there, such as, altered origins. For this, it got most correct, or as similar to the comic origin as it could. Unlike all ther other heroes movies, this have more equal action as the others. Example, when do you see Superman fight another villain that is a super villain? He have been fight Lex Luthor all the time. Luthor, while being the greates Superman villain is becoming boring when he can't fight Superman head on. If you ever read any of Superman's comic, he got enough super villains to show him some punch moves. At least Green Lantern gets to have a good fight with Hector Hammond. It was a good start. Perhaps the sequel Sinestro will square off with him. They could have the sub villains for sub plots such as Black Hand or maybe Major Disaster. With all the CGIs being capable now these villains could be worthy for the movie screen. I hope the next Superman movie at least he gets to punch Metallo or better yet, Mongol or even Doomsday or Ultraman. These should gives you the best action ever if the story cannot make it. As for Batman, enough of Joker or Penguin or Riddler. Batman maybe a detective but the audiences want action. As usual his collection of villains include many capable of putting up a fight. Bane, Deadshot, KGBeast and even Prometheus. Right now, all eyes on Marvel comic's Captain America. His origin and the usual villain, the Red Skull. As long as it does not stray off the comic, people should be able to accept it. The WWII setting restricts more modern villains to appear.

Yogi is better as a cartoon

Yogi Bear coming to big screen. Remember the Yogi bear cartoon on TV during the 80s? I watched them when I was young. Yogi bear and other animal characters would appear with humorous actions. At least it was fun during those days. I like Yogi bear as pure cartoon, but when they tries it with real life actors with a computerised Yogi, it just doesn't look right. Just like that Scooby Doo movie, I don't watch it. Feels lamey.... Bring Yogi back as cartoon.

Movie with a twist

Just got to watch a extended edition of Terminator 2 Judgement Day. It was a classic movie. Hollywood doesn't do such movies anymore and of course the stars just not as good as those before. At least not in shows we see now. The question just pop up. Mankind will be terminating themselve with technologies. All the self aware self learning artificial intelligence will soon outgrew their programs and rule over mankind. Or before that happens a war broke off and that's it. So it is always going towards that path when man evolved. Getting better will be a bad path. Even if war doesn't, the way they treat the environment and the over population will just end up there.

cartoon to movie not a good cup of tea

Old classic cartoons are jumping into the movie world. It is fun to watch them in the movie but when the cartoons turns into realistic graphic and mix with real actors in a real environment it would be awful. In the good days we have seen Who Frame Roger Rabbit where a mix of cartoon  characters mix into the real world. It was watchable. Then that basketball movie with the Bugs Bunny I never watch that. But when it comes to Garfield it just be  painful. Maybe I am stuck in the old days but it just doesn't make sense. Do you need real actors to do it? Can't you just make a full movie animation instead? They are bringing in the Smurfs and Berenstain Bears too.... Smurfs will be harder since there is no real smurfs....

Should be Kungfu Kid

A new Jackie Chan movie is coming out. Karate Kid. Yes it is a remake of the original. If you have no idea of the original got check it out on google. The original uses a Japanese actor to teach the kid to fight, karate or should I say, Japanese martial art style. Jackie Chan doesn't do karate or any of those Japanese martial arts which you wear those Gi. Gi is the white clothings you wear when you do karate. So the show should not be Karate Kid because Jackie only knows Kungfu. Kungfu Kid should be it.

Transformers Movie 2

The much anticipated Transformers Movie 2 is show with a lot of explosion and running but less transforming from the robots. As usual the politicians tries to take over everything and the human allies start to go rogue and help the Autobots. The usual plot from most movies. This show we see many many nameless or faceless random robots. Some of them will be the main talk in forums but most will be forgotton. This time the Autobot focus will be two quarreling twin robots. Not much transforming can be seen. Some scenes can be snipped. A waste of time. Example will be Sam's mom got "drunk".....

Star Trek reimagined

Just watched Star Trek. I now understand how the hardcore trekkies object to the show. I also find the story, if put into the timeline be impossible. First off, the old Spock need to return to his proper timeline. Vulcan should be restored when all anomalies return to their rightful places. When you have all the time cops that exists within the future of Star Trek timeline they should be the one come back to the past and correct things. If you ever watched Voyager you would know. For now I would put this show in the same group with Battlestar Galactica Reimagined. This show is reimagined just for a box office.

Life is possibly a game?

I just watched The Truman Show. You expect Jim Carey to start making jokes like all his other shows. No. This isn't a comedy. The story about Jim being born and raised in a tv reality show and being watched by the world all the time. In the end he managed to figured out something isn't right and found a way to escape. His determination to escape to find his real love, whom he met while she was part of the actress which Jim have no idea his life was merely a show. So here, is our life like a show too?

Knowing is only so so

The movie Knowing would be a good show if it isn't about end of the world and aliens. Something like those X-files stuff but once the story turns to the end of the world event it just doesn't end well. Moreever you have got aliens that stand around like Keanu Reeve in Matrix. So the story ends with a super flare from the sun that burns away all the planets, or only the inner planets. The aliens knows about it and have been selecting children to be taken away. While these type of end of the world is really the first of its kind instead of astroid or nuclear war that destroy the Earth. Perhaps the ending could be done in another fashion but for now I feel the end is bad.

The Day The Earth Stood Still - My preview

If you watched the movie The Day The Earth Stood Still, I would say it is a good and entertaining show. What you read from newspaper about how bad it was, I would disagree. As an ordinary viewer, I do not care if the actors show good facial expression. What viewers want is consistent exciting scenes after scenes. It is definitely not boring. So what is the movie about? It is usually the normal alien invasion. But there is a sub plot. The alien explains that there is a united galactic federation of planets out there. So why Earth isn't one of them? That isn't the main reason. It was about Earth being heavily polluted that the Aliens are here to wipe out humans and their polluting activities to preserve the planet.

But I see a hidden message there. Humans who are given leadership in crisis have arrogant attitudes and would use violent to solve the problems and to show us who the boss is with their missiles. The Secretary of Defense, a lady who is the highest command in the country since their president and vice president had went into hiding. She wants the Alien to be interrogated instead of showing peace and being friendly to a guest entering visiting you. She would use missiles to attack the aliens. In the end, she had to leave it to the main characters to communicate to the alien while wasting away half the country. We sees these arrogant humans in movies all the time and it might happen to any real life leaders too.

Did you notice the giant alien guardian's model is similar to Amazo from the Justice League Animated cartoon?

Movie Review

An entertaining show. A simple story but it is the Panda that is fun to watch. The animals in the show hates the Panda but the Panda is big enough to bodyslam everyone of them including the master. Nicely drawn animation.

DVD Review

This is a terrible show.... Too much distractions and confusion in the ghost zone. I couldn't continue to watch it as it is boring and a waste of my time.... Can't remember the review then but I assume it got great review because of its local connection..... I just watch the whole show. The ending is crapped. I considered it as no ending.

DVD review

This show is just a normal shoot and blow up show. Not much people killed except for the bad guys. A weak plot. WWE star John Cena can make it. He should try another flim. One funny scene, when bad guy Robert Patrick was told by his goon that they are being chased by a guy that seem like the Terminator. Robert Patrick was a Terminator from Terminator 2. His expression was kind of cheeky.

Movie Review

龍虎門 or Dragon Tiger Gate is a hongkong show of action. Translated from a popular comic of the same title. It stars action star Donnie Yen and teen idol Nicholas Tse. They fought real on the set and was reported no insurance company willing to insure. Can watch the fight but not for the story.

Movie Review

I watched Iron Man today. I find the show more enjoyable than any other comic movies. The show kind of stick to the comic origin. However the villain isn't that amazing. To be fighting a evil clone of the hero seems to be happening alot in comics.

Movie Review

I watched the flim Forgotten. Sound like a good mystery show. But as it soon progress, it turns out there is an alien force at work and sound bizarre, they are powerful to do experiments to the human population......
